Biggest Crypto Heist Ever!

Hacker steals more than 600 million dollars worth of crypto coins

The Ronin blockchain project has been robbed of nearly $615 million in crypto by hackers. It would thus be one of the largest crypto heists ever. Ronin’s blockchain network is linked to a video game that uses crypto coins.

Crypto research firm Elliptic says hackers have managed to get hold of the special private digital keys (which authorize transactions in the game) from five people. This gave them access to the cryptocurrency. Experts are calling for a system to be developed to track unusual transactions.

The Ronin group is working directly with several government agencies to ensure the criminals are brought to justice, the company said in a statement. Ronin users are temporarily unable to deposit or withdraw money from the network.

It is now in collaboration with Chainalysis, a research agency, to find out where the stolen money is. Most of the money would still be in the hacker’s digital wallet, Ronin said. There is also cooperation with the police and so-called forensic cryptographers.

You can never secure crypto coins enough!

And last August, the Poly Network was robbed for $610 million by a so-called “white hat” hacker, referring to ethical hackers who generally strive to expose the digital vulnerabilities. The hacker later returned the money to the company.
